Emily
Goldstein
Emily Goldstein has been in the events world since her college days at the University of Alabama — Roll Tide — and has spent the last 15+ years proving that events are, above all else, a personal business.
Before launching Marea, Emily built her career as a venue coordinator across Atlanta — Big Canoe POA, Lanier Islands, Indian Hills Country Club, and The Georgian Club. After years of forging strong vendor relationships and learning the industry from the inside out, she knew it was time to branch out and open Marea Weddings & Events.
She's planned, designed, and executed events of every shape and size — anniversary dinners, proposals for two, golf tournaments, and weddings of 500+ guests — with no detail lost or forgotten in between.
The moments we live for.
Opening the doors. Fixing the bride's train one last time before she walks down the aisle. Catching couples sneak a kiss on the dance floor. Watching the reception space finally come together. Bouquet tosses, cake cuttings, sparkler exits — and being there for the very first chapter of what comes next.
We want our clients to feel like they're working with more than a planner — with a confidant and a friend.
We're honored every single time a couple chooses Marea to be part of their engagement and wedding journey, and we love staying in touch long after the sparklers go out — through baby announcements, anniversaries, and everything in between. We can't wait to meet you.
Why Marea?
Marea translates to tide in Italian. With ties to the lowcountry and the coast — and honestly, who doesn't feel better the moment they're near the water? — it was a way to keep something classic with a name uniquely our own.
We're committed to providing a beautiful and stress-free experience. Classic styles with a unique twist, attention to detail, and a calming presence through every moving part of planning.
There is no formula to event planning and design. We customize our process to you and your event, because we always want it to represent you — not us, not a Pinterest board, not last season's trends.
In high tide, or low tide — we are always by your side.
The Marea difference.

The industry friender
A decade of relationships with the best venues, florists, and photographers in the South.
Calming presence
Planning is emotional. Emily is the steady hand that turns chaos into composure.
Classic with a twist
Timeless foundations, personal details. Never trend-chasing. Always unmistakably you.

When she's not orchestrating.
- —Saturday mornings at the farmers market in Virginia-Highland.
- —An obsessive love for Italian coastal towns and a too-large cookbook collection.
- —Long walks with her rescue pup who's been to more weddings than most planners.
- —Currently planning her own escape to Capri.
Let's start the conversation.
The first call is the easiest part — and it's where Emily turns nerves into excitement.
